Crowdcast Hearts Crowdsourcing

Posted on by mat

It’s always important for companies pushing new and disruptive business practices to eat their own dog food.  With all our focus on the wisdom and power of crowds, we decided that we should embrace it ourselves for some pretty significant branding changes we’re in the process of making.

Those following us for a while will know that our name was once Xpree.  When we decided it was time for a change, fully realizing our limitations in the awesome-name-creation field, we put the question to the crowd.  We set up a contest on namethis.com, sifted through the bunch and found a gem in Crowdcast.

Now we’re doing the same for a new logo, and want your help.  Last week we set up a contest on 99Designs that ran for one week and officially closed yesterday.  You can view it here:  http://tinyurl.com/cclogo

We all see some good ones in there, but we want to hear what you think.   To participate in this uber-scientific survey, just leave a comment below with your favorite(s).  Tell us why it’s good, or what changes you might make.  If you select the one we eventually go with, you win a lecture on convex utility functions from Dr. Leslie Fine.

What a great idea! #122 and #123 are my favorites. Don’t love the colors, but like the idea of playing with the double Cs.
